EURO9000 joins the Lineas fleet

Lineas is further strengthening its European operations with the arrival of two new-generation Stadler EURO9000 locomotives through its partnership with Alpha Trains.

Designed for demanding international freight corridors, the EURO9000 combines electric and diesel traction, allowing smoother operations across both electrified and non-electrified lines. For you, this means greater flexibility, stronger reliability and more efficient cross-border connections across Europe.

The EURO9000 is one of the most powerful locomotives currently operating on the European market and is perfectly suited for heavy international freight flows and long-distance corridors.

“The EURO9000 combines power, flexibility and sustainability, making it a perfect fit for the international freight corridors we operate,” says Bruno Vanlede, Head of Rail Fleet Management at Lineas.

Beyond performance, these locomotives also support lower-emission freight transport and reflect our continued investment in efficient and future-ready rail solutions for European industry.
