Lineas 1 of 8 companies to receive the 2017 VOKA Charter for Sustainable Business

Lineas is proud to be one of the eight organisations that received the 2017 VOKA Charter for Sustainable Business. The charter is proof of our commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

The VOKA Charter for Sustainable Business is based on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for 2030. It aims to help Flemish companies develop a framework and actions that contribute to the realisation of these objectives.

To be eligible for the VOKA Charter for Sustainable Business, organisations have to:

• Proactively integrate sustainable business into company policy
• Formulate goals and concrete actions within the United Nations’ SDGs
• Report to the evaluation committee on progress made
• Communicate externally about actions taken
• Continuously work on compliance with social, welfare and environmental legislation

Lineas has focused its efforts on a number of initiatives with high impact such as the introduction and development of an eco driving practice, a CO2 emissions reduction strategy, a mobility policy, the security management system integration and the continued development of our professionals’ e-learning potential.
