We are glad to announce Frank Berweger as our new Chief Commercial Officer. He will take over this position effective November 1st from Lars Redeligx, who will assume a new challenge outside of Lineas, as the CEO of Duesseldorf Airport .
In his new role, Frank will lead Sales, Revenue Management, our Intermodal division and our Customer Experience Design team.
Frank holds a degree in Business Administration. He joined the Lineas management team earlier this year, having previously worked in senior commercial leadership positions in the aviation business, with international postings in Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe.
Frank’s mindset is customer-centric and he is passionate about building trusted partnerships with customers.
“I am thankful that Lineas trusts me with this important mission and excited to be contributing to decarbonizing transport in Europe through Modal Shift from road to rail. The rail freight sector still has many challenges in store. We will master these together, close to our customers and enabled by a very committed team at Lineas.”
Frank is happily married and has 2 children. He shares the passion for kitesurfing with his predecessor Lars. No surprise the handover of the CCO position partly happened on weekends in Zeeland, after a good kiting session on the waters of the North Sea.
Finally, we like to thank Lars for his dedication and his contribution to build Lineas for the future during the last 3 years. Lars joined us briefly before the start of the global pandemic and immediately had to deal with the turbulence that this brought to our industry and our customers. Despite these headwinds, Lars allowed Lineas to make strong commercial progress by, amongst others, creating a strong commercial team. He contributed to the professionalization of our ways of working, the improvement of the customer experience and was key in driving the profitable growth of our revenue. We wish him good luck and we’re honestly very proud that someone from Lineas is selected for such a nice position. And luckily for us, he will continue to support Lineas as advisor to the board of directors.
